Spa Review- Reflexology at Natureland Spa, Rixos Premium JBR

I recently visited Natureland Spa for a girls’ day out with a fellow spa enthusiast who was visiting Dubai from Oman. I had been looking forward to trying out this spa for some time as it is super close to where I live.

We were greeted by name on arrival by the very friendly spa receptionist Yuri and offered a lemongrass tea whilst we completed our consultation forms. The spa is scented with fine lemongrass aromas which reminds me a lot of my visit to Thailand last year.

We were  offered a tour of the spa before a brief interlude to use the facilities and relax before enjoying our treatments. The layout is quite unique in that the facilities are widely spread out which made the facility usage journey slightly disjointed. On the other hand, I loved the uber comfortable relaxation beds that were complete with an iPad and sea view.

I chose the reflexology session as my feet have been clicking a lot recently when I walk. My therapist Khem was fabulous and took great care of me. She had excellent pressure and I felt like I was walking on air afterwards. Khem also recommended me to soak my feet each day in Epsom salts and lemon water to help detoxify and remineralise.

Overall the spa experience was good and the staff made me feel welcomed and appreciated. The “Crystal Bar” area in the spa looked inviting but when I took an apple from the fruit platter I was surprised to find the fruit was made from plastic. However after the treatment some warm ginger tea and Turkish delights were served in the lounge and they were delicious.

I liked the WhatsApp booking system and the beds in the relax room that were so comfortable. Next time I will try the signature hammam as the room looks gorgeous and since Rixos is a Turkish brand it is sure to be fabulous.
